The Why.
We want to HELP!
We recognize that our customers want fresh produce, fresh bread, fresh eggs, but grocery stores are struggling to keep up with the demand. Also, many people want to avoid large crowds right now. We want to help. The NFB will be boxed and packed with careful and sanitary standards. It is more safe to drive into a parking lot and pick up a load of food in the open air. The food will be free from public contact and transferred directly to your vehicle. We are coordinating parking lot pick ups near you. Reeves Family Farm is in a position to help! We have direct relationships with other Farms, Food Hubs, multiple fruit and vegetable distribution centers, and many local food producers! Grocery stores will be struggling with the distribution side of food. After multiple conversations with some of our buyers (fruit and vegetable distribution centers in the DFW), it's clear that the problem is distribution. We know how to gather and where to gather in a time such as this!
The BOX.
The NFB service is a temporary extension of our farm and our local resources. We will strive to include as much organic and local produce, breads, and eggs as possible during the Neighborhood Farm Box delivery service in the next 5 weeks (our Farm Store Opens May 1st). Because it is early in the local growing season we will be including staples such as Apples, oranges, berries, multiple other fruits, and a wide range of vegetables. We will also include fresh made Breads from La Francaise Bakery (top quality bread!!). When eggs are available we will include them as well. We were not prepared for meat to be included as local meat processors are struggling to keep up with the demand. If we can source meat we will message customers of the availability as a side option.
The Benefits.
You know you have fresh produce and bread (eggs when available) reserved for you, and delivered to a safe convenient location every week for the next 4 weeks (or longer if the need is still there).
Pick Up Times & Locations.
McKinney Pick-ups: Saturdays 9:30 AM -10:30 AM at Cinemark Movies 14 (1701 S. Expressway)
Allen Pick-ups: Saturdays 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Reed Elementary School (1200 Rivercrest Blvd)
Wylie Pick-ups: Wednesday 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at New Hope Church (1100 W Brown Street)
Princeton Pick-ups: Wednesday 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Princeton High School (1000 E Princeton Dr)
Pick-ups will be drive through. In order to provide safe service, we are limiting customer contact.
